Thanksgiving is a day about being grateful and enjoying quality time with loved ones. While everyone has different Thanksgiving traditions and different dishes on their dinner tables, there are some common flavors that can be found at most table spreads. As everyone begins prepping for tomorrow’s festivities, there’s one thing that’s for sure. Thanksgiving is a holiday filled with feasts and flavor.

Here are a list of flavors that can be seen at most dinner tables on this holiday.


Classic Thanksgiving Flavors

You know it’s Thanksgiving Day when aromas of various flavor combinations fill the air and have your stomach rumbling counting down until it’s time to eat. These flavors of fall are Thanksgiving classics that can be incorporated into desserts, sauces, drinks, garnishes, etc.



1. Cranberry

Cranberries are a fall fruit that can be versatile for so many recipes. However, cranberry sauce is one of the most popular Thanksgiving side dishes. It pairs well with the turkey and all other savory dishes on the table.

2. Pumpkin

Pumpkin has proven itself to be a fall favorite time and time again. It’s really no surprise that this flavor would be integrated into the holidays. Pumpkin pie is more than likely going to be on the dessert table, whether it’s your preference or not. It’s one of the staples and possibly one of the first things on the list when it comes to setting up Thanksgiving menus.

3. Pecan

Pecans are a more underrated flavor but are delicious, nonetheless. Pecan pie is another pie that can be found on the dessert table. While it may not be everyone’s preference over pumpkin, it’s still a great option to have.


4. Apple

Apple is another fruit that’s commonly associated to the autumn season. It can be used for anything from butters to desserts and beverages. Apples also pair well with other unique flavors, creating delicious flavor combinations.
